How we calculate these numbers
Original prices reflect the base model launch price in USD. Adjusted prices use CPI inflation data to convert to 2026 dollars. The AAPL stock calculation takes the original purchase price, divides by Apple's split-adjusted share price in the year you bought the product, and multiplies by today's share price (~$241 as of early 2026). All stock prices are split-adjusted to account for Apple's 2:1 splits in 1987, 2000, and 2005, the 7:1 split in 2014, and the 4:1 split in 2020.
Product prices are simplified to base-model pricing. Your actual spend may have been higher if you bought storage upgrades, AppleCare, or accessories. This is meant to be fun, not financial advice. Past performance does not predict future results.
